Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow
(Lyrics quoted from “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow” by Thomas Ken (text) and Louis Bourgeois, attr. /the Genevan Psalter, 1551, (music))
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow;…" - Praise the God who is the source of true, pure goodness. Praise Him for both the mighty acts of His hand when He intercedes for us and the twinkle in His eye that we see in the little things that make us smile! "…praise Him all creatures here below;…" - Praise the God who made us - filling us with His own life - a testament to what Christ would later do. We can rest assured that God will not mis-handle that life or treat it lightly. "…praise Him above ye heavenly hosts;…" - Praise the God who is so great that even the angels in heaven can't help but worship and praise Him! Even the fallen angels are forced to acknowledge Who He Is! "…praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." - Praise the Great Trinity that works together in God's great holiness and goodness and glory, using us as instruments, to achieve something greater than any eye has seen, any ear has heard, and any mind has imagined! "To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen." Jude - verses 24-25 NIV
